Shock install question

its real easy just have the car lifted from the rear and have it on jack stands and a jack underneath the center diff and remove the top bolts from the shock towers and bottom bolts and replace the shocks and repeat the procees for both sides and to retighten them just go in reverse sequence :D

DO NOT JACK ON THE PUMPKIN!!! :notnice:

Here's why:

I am not going to argue this. If there is the slightest chance that the OWNER'S MANUAL is correct and jacking on the pumpkin is a BAD THING then it is simply not worth the risk :notnice:

I have generally found the information in owner's manuals to be correct...

very good point........pumpkin :D

Huh, that was pretty easy. Took me 2.5 hours, feels good doing something to your car like that by yourself. It rides alot better now too.

Trunk trim wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. I already messed around with it before when I installed my tinted taillights so I kinda knew what I was doing.

About how long would it take to install 2 rear shocks, for someone who has never done this before? I want to install them before work tomorrow (i work 2nd shift).

Some say "easy" but mine didn't seem so easy with the Mach1000 in the way. Removed the subs so they wouldn't get scratched up when the amp rack was removed. Probably took me a little over 2 hours and it was too hot outside. I used a hoist on the fronts and it took me just over an hour to replace front struts and springs.
