Iam going to look at a 99 cobra this weekend. I was supposed to look at it about a month ago but he changed his mind. Since then he has installed a nx wet kit with gen-2 accesories and has offered to sell it with the car. He is asking 11000 with nos and 10500 with out it... I dont know much about nos and am wondering if this is a good deal or if i should pass on it. Also is there anything i should worry about since he is running nos. He said this is one of the safer setups and claims the car runs perfect. What do you guys think?

if you stop calling it nos you'll be fine, id keep it, its worth more than 500 bucks and is safe if its hooked up correctly, what shot is it set at?

Im not a fan of the "NOS" mostly because there is always a chance something can happen. A kid I know has an 02 GT with a 100 shot and blew the engine last weekend. He used the juice all the time and finally the engine said NO MORE.

and there is always the chance with your FI that an injector could quit at WOT and boom there goes your engine. there are problems with any power adder and if done correctly Nitrous is as safe as the next.

You are absolutly right but I guess Ive seen/ know more people that have blown their engines with nitrous than a SC. Definatley not saying I couldnt blow my engine once my SC on but from what ive seen it is less likely

well you keep saying "he says it runs perfect." have you actually tested it yourself? Be sure that the cobra has had the SVT performance update to make it output the rated 320 flywheel hp... there should be a seal somewhere under the hood stating when it was done (if it was done)
