i am about to put my motor back into my car and have not converted to to MAF yet. Mainly because of the cash situation. i have a newer motor with the GT40P heads, E cam, GT40 upper and lower intakes, are my main mods. Will it be ok to try to run my car with out converting it? is there a possibilty that i may not have to convert?

i know everybody on this board will say to upgrade to a mass air system as i do also...but i have had close to the same setup(ported heads, cam and intake) and it did run well. not as well as it should.it just lacked the potential these upgrades should have. also, i think back and it did run a little lean. the speed density set-up just cant keep up with the mods.

Sure it can work. YOu need to keep in mind that to optimize your combo, you will somehow need to give the car the added fuel it needs for that added air flow. The computer has not way of seeing this added air in SD mode.

So, you can up the fuel pressure and disconnect the 02's, which will make it run rich all the time, you can add an additional injector controller, get some sort of tuner or tweecer, pms etc, or oyu can switch to mass air.

I've got a A9l and complete EFI harness for sale if you want, $250 takes it.
