Yes, do that.

Or find somebody w/ a flowmaster cat-back who wants SLP and trade them.

don't do that...sell the whole catback and get a new one. less hassle.

mufflers and mid pipes are for sound. 1 or 2 horsepower does nothing.

Sums it up nicely..It cracks me up when people sat they dont want flows b/c there isnt enough of a gain. On myold 98 gt I had mac o/r H pipe w/welded in flows ,and it sounded awesome. But w/ my new car i just bought a magnaflow X pipe, and I plan on buying flows for it too. Love the sound

Flows!

If it is "sound" you want, go with the flows! Delta 40s are to quiet in my opinion, go with the original 2 chambers. That's just my 2 cents. I have the American Thunder Cat-Back on my 02 GT and it sounds great, not anoying but cool.

Good luck and let us know how it worked out.

slp loudmouth by itself isnt no loud..its nothing..match it up with a offroad upr pipe..and all you get is nasty crackles and burping..fireworks to sum it up nicely,,snap crackle pop..but VERY LOUD...anyways it does not sound good..its not deep and its just LOUD..it sounds like the car is broken..like a broken cam..i wish i could show the sound to anybody in the south florida area to see what im talking about as I am the first on corral/stangnet to have this setup.

Okay I have a question, why would you want a new H pipe?My 04 GT already has an H from the factory, can you really inprove that much over the stock one?And if its just because of the cats, then I will just gut them and be done with it,shouldnt be too loud especially with 3 chambered flows that I will go with when I do it.How much power will all that bring?I have 3 chamber deltas on my 66 and it pretty darn loud...but it also has ALOT more power, so it should be quiet on the GT....I do NOT want to attract cops so I want it quiet, yet powerfull sounding, will this setup deliver.BTW would probably also instal shorty headers, to many problems with LTs on the 4.6.Thanks

Call the fellas or email Pete at www.mustangtuning.com. Buy the SLP catted X pipe and ask him if you can try it for a few days. I think you would like it with the SLP catback.

I also want to clear the air about guys saying they like the "classic Mustang sound." What the hell do you mean? In most cases they seem to be talking about flows. How the heck is that a classic sound? To me a classic mustang is listening to a '69 Sheby GT 500 or something like that, not a '96 Gt with flows.

You will gain more hp with the SLP catback than any other catback on the market. I have seen two dynos on blown GTs that got 11 hp each with the catback. On an NA car, it is probably more like 5 - 6 hp, which is more than 1 - 2. Blown cars with the catted X, LT's, and catback (all SLP) are seeing 30 hp. This SLP stuff works and if you like the sound, it's a double bonus.
