Alright, thought I had a header gasket leak, but turns out, my smog system is what's leaking. The top fitting/connector (screws on to metal pipe & it's a circular metal thing - don't know what it's called) that connects the metal pipe from the H-Pipe to the other connector that goes to the smog pump..yeah it broke. Now, the threaded end is stuck on the pipe! I've used WD-40 on it (little bit) and I've torched it a lot and i'm using a pair of vice grips to hold the metal pipe hex and then 100 lbs behind an air ratchet to do the work and it still won't come lose! I'm afraid if I torque on it much, i'm gonna break that pipe and end up replacing the whole GD pipe and I do not want to do that (already started bending the pipe a little.) I can't think of anything else to do..what can I do to get this thing off? First, I was happy because I don't have to swap header gaskets, but now this is a PITA.

alright I guess nevermind now. I put the air ratchet on it w/o holding the pipe hex and twisted the pipe off, so now i guess i'll either cap the pipe off or try to use some hose to connect it to the other hose....what is that metal thing for anyway?
