Smog pump delete

I have heard that you gain power from deleting the smog pump. Is this true? I just put a set of bbk equal length headers on my car and my buddy convinced me to go and delete the smog pump. I still have all the lines and am thinking about putting them back on unless otherwise

I would leave it unless you have an OR H-pipe.....or no cats

If you have to do emissions or just a visual I would keep it.

you don't really gain much by doing it. i dont have emissions here, and took mine off for some weight savings and just to clean the engine bay up a bit. it did seem to rev a little quicker after i did it though

You gain like 0.25HP


You can bypass it by routing the belt differently
