from what I gather, everything goes, and you pinch off the metal tube on the h-pipe and plug the back of the head where the tube goes with a spark pulg, if you don't want to buy an actual bolt or plug for it.

There are plenty of threads that cover this subject, if you have tried to search yet it may be the way to go for further info.

yeah pull out everything...and its pretty hard to plug the heads with teh motor in the car so just undo the hose where those regulators are and cap off the metal part...i know theres a certain type of cap that fits right over with no hose clamps needed. and its 3/4" i believe...i think its LXsteed who has a nice step by step with this on his site..do a search or wait for him to reply.

3/4 inch rubber bypass cap is used to cap the line going to the back of the heads if you don't want to pull it off completely. Also, use Vac caps to close off the 2 Vac lines going to the valves. I just took mine off lastnight.

well what i did and many other take that pipe that goes to back of the heads off grind it off the pieces that connects it to the back of the head and flip it so the solid side is facing the hole and bolt it back in.

eh, just take a hammer to a couple old spark plugs. smash off the porcelain (sp?) and break off the metal piece the the porcelain covered up. they turn out smallish so I think you can get them on with the heads on. not 100% though, cause I just did it when I had my heads off. before that I just had the metal tube plugged with electrical tape and duct tape (yes, I said I used tape).

right now I have the tube in the H pipe plugged with a piece of the hose that was on it and a spark plug jammed in it.

What happens if you don't plug the hole in the back of the heads? Does it just cause a vacuum leak?

doesn't the tube go directly to the exhaust ports? I would think it would make a bigass exhaust leak (potentially dangerous) if you left it open

I took mine off about a week ago i put a pulley there in its place tho. Took everything out and plug the hole in the h pipe then put a rubber bypass plug on the tube that goes around the back of the engine.

You got that right! I ripped mine out lastnight and can't believe the difference. Only thing in the way now is the TB/MAF but it's not bad. Much easier to install headers now too.

You can buy the threaded insert from ford, to make it just like the front of the head. it's a sleeve that has threads on the inside, and the outside. they gave me mine free...(well, a good friend that works there did)
