Smoke coming out of vents. Heater core??

NEED HELP! Smoke coming from vents.

I was sitting at a stoplight today and a semi-sweet smelling smoke started coming through my vents when the heat was on. Could this be my heater core going bad. Any help will be appreiciated.

sounds like you are smelling coolant so yea i'd say your heater core could be going bad. why don't you call a dealership or something and ask them?

Because dealerships say "You'll have to bring it in so we can take a look at it". Then they charge 90 bucks to tell me something I was pretty sure I already knew. I just came here to be 100% sure before I ripped my dash off. But thanks for your help.

Definately heater core...I just bypassed mine...didnt feel like shellin' out the cash to replace
