So i have a question.....how dothe drip rails connect to the car..?

The drip rails are sandwiched in between the roof skin and the inner roof, a/B pillar structure and the whole thing is spot welded together.

FWIW, I was considering shving the drip rails on my car but decided not to for reasons Jester stated. Plus, I think it's a lateral move as far as the looks of the car go. It's a pantload of work for no real improvement in my eyes.
