I would say to just stop everything and take it back to the shop that did the work.
under the dash i dont see anything under the hoodComputers don't just up and go bad.
Where exactly are you plugging in the scanner? Under the hood or inside the car?
You should put this fool on blast.he wont look at anything like that .. he sais he did the ENGINE and thats all no sensors no OBD stuff he says thats all on me .. he is saying the sensors have to reset ... witch doesnt make sense since he had the batt. pulled witch resets everything
so my next stop is Tuesday taken it to a ford dealer and having them track down the OBD wire problem ... i just hope its NOT the computer ... if it is il call it and sell the car
You paid $5k for an engine rebuild which is now giving you problems...and the guy who did it won't look at it? Are you f'ing kidding me? It doesn't matter if he didn't "do" the sensors. He should try to diagnose the issue, at the very least. Not only did this guy fleece you for cash, he is now avoiding his responsibility to give you a working product with BS excuses. Personally, I wouldn't stand for that. I don't have the ability to drop $5k on something and just accept that I'm getting screwed. That being said, if you decide you are not going back to that shop and you really want to fix this car, then follow the checklists (which have worked for countless others). You can fix the problem yourself (or at least find the source) instead of continuing to throw money at it.
I sincerely wish you luck on this and hope you get it sorted out.

Brian, you did not watch this and you truly should have. The port under the dash does not work. It never did and never will. Your diagnostic port is on the pass side of the engine bay next to the shock tower. Watch the video. It shows you exactly how to run a diagnostic. You don't want to blast said shop and that's your prerogative. You can either roll up your sleeves and start doing this yourself or you can take it to the dealership which will have zero clue on how to work on your car. May as well take them a model T and ask them to diagnose that as well. Not going to happen.
Question when you first turn the key to the on position (when all the dash lights come on at once) does the check engine light come on? If not then the bulb is out.i give up im done .. thank you for all your help
no codes at all .....
