So i have came across a svo

Its beyond repair, rear end is gone and interior is gone as well. I dont know if i can get a chance to hear it run but i was thinking about buying it and parting it out. The hood is in decent shape and the engine looks very clean with the intercooler. They want 400 or so, is it worth to buy it and part the rest out? any numbers on parts these days would be great.

well i bought the car today, ended up getting it for 450 (how much he thought the scrap was worth) Turns out i got it just in time, he was planning on taking out the tranny and smashing the rest. I hope to make my money back and make a few $$ out of it. Dose anyone know where to look for good prices for this stuff?

I hate to see an SVO get scrapped, but even I wouldn't want to try restoring that one.

I'd take the driveline, harness, and EEC off your hands if you weren't so far away. Maybe the sail panels too. At the very least the turbo, manifold, intercooler, and VAM.

that car may not look fixable, but she is. infact if that was in my area, i would pick it up in a heartbeat. that panel can be replaced. you seriously need to buy it, and re-sell it if youre trying to make a few bucks. if not, then find someone to buy it from the junkyard. however, if you absolutely cannot find anyone to buy it.......THEN part it.for around $200 (with the deals we have around here) i could have that thing driving, and have black interior. some time and maybe $200 more, and i could have it painted. shes not beyond repair........at all!!! however.......IF it does get parted out, i might be buying some electrical stuff, and maybe the intercooler, and other stuff. have you tried to sell it whole sale at all??

is there any chance you know the miles on the motor? long shot i know! hey didnt these cars come with hurst shifters in them? if so i need a hurst shifter, or at least need to know what short shifter to put in mine.

Damn, if only you had a body youd be set!

The stock Hurst interchanges with a regular T5 shifter. It also functions just as badly.
