An 87 Coupe I bought years ago and robbed the motor (now in my 90) and tranny (now in my 68) from.

I have a spare low miles carbed 351w, all the fox swap stuff, spare T5, clutch kit, bellhousing. I have the bumper cover with a saleen fascia. I have almost every part from a 96 Mustang that was given to me that we stripped. From the 96 I will be doing a dash swap, with console and seats, undecided on door panels. I may also be use the rear axles and disc brakes for a 5 lug conversion along with a set of Mark VII rotors in front, and use my 04's stock Bullitts, either that or leave it four lug and refinish the ponies.
The only big things I really have to buy are radiator, carpet, and flywheel. Other than that it's all misc. stuff. And of course it does need body work.

I'm going to be building this in my spare time (I'm about to be real busy with my 68) with spare parts.
I think it will be something neat to tool around in though for the little amount of cash involved.

cool. what's the plan? street cruiser or drag strip terror?

Just a cruiser. It won't be fast because the motor is just a stock 85 truck 351w 4 barrel motor, but I won't have a lot into to it so I think it will be pretty fun just to drive around in.

I won't be racing it, I bet my 90 is faster than that one will be, and I'm putting the twisted wedge heads I have with a nice cam on the windsor in my 68 in a couple of weeks, so it will be the bruiser. So I don't feel the need to dump money into this one to make it quick. Yet.

I love it. Thanks for not letting it die in a field.:nice:

Well it's my field and I put it there. It was running and driving when I put it there but it was thrown together and was a p.o.s. It had a strong motor though. I put forged pistons in it, ported E7's, intake and full bolt on's and so on in my 90 with gears and all the other good stuff. Seemed like it had a good T5 so I stuck that in my 68 Coupe after I sheared half the teeth off 2nd in the last T5 that was in it.

It had some good parts that I ended up robbing from it because it looked bad and was put together poorly. It has been sitting there for several years and I just realized that I can get it going just with crap I have laying around that I have paid little to nothing for. I have a complete red and black fox interior I could put in it but a two tone 96 black/grey seems much cooler.

Anyway, I'm in no hurry on this one. It's just something to play with when I don't have a more serious project for my 68 or my 90.
