well im sittin here in the hotel room in ennis texas (fun ford weekend) thinking about what happened today. . . My clutch is GONE! It will still bite if i run all motor but as soon as i hit the juice it just roasts it! My contemplation is, should i invest in a bad A$$ clutch or should i pull the g force and sell it to buy a fully rollerized c4?

Wait a while and buy our trans :D

j/k

But you would probably pick-up some ET with an auto.

Our set-up:

PA SuperComp C4,PTC 8" converter (stalls to 5800rpm on trans break,no 2step),3.90 rear gears with 28x10.5" slicks.

It really all depends on what the car is built for. If it's built to go fast and that's it, put the c4 in it. If it's built to go fast and have fun with, leave the stick. I'll just say that it would put a much bigger smile on my face to powershift my way to an 11.45@125 than just sit there along for the ride and run a tenth or two quicker.

as stupid as this sounds . . . i just had a stock replacement clutch with a 26spline center in it for the g force:nonono: I should probably give a good clutch a chance before i give up on it. The races did not go so well. . . the second day got rained out and the first day i blew the clutch during the 1st elimination round:shrug:

your first mistake was to use that stock replace clutch. with the setup you had, you should have stepped it up to a king cobra, dual friction or a SPEC stage 2.
My guess is that if you try one of that later two that i menationed, you will enjoy your g force.

well i took the clutch out tonight only to find that the pressure plate side of the clutch disk is in about 10 pieces stuck to the pressure plate. . . it looks as if it just peeled it right off of the clutch disk haha. I think im going to just go ahead and order a spec stage 3 clutch tomorrow and give the g force another try before i trade it off for a c4
