So the novi's sold. On3?

Does it? I was hoping on just buying the full kit. Id think they would have the meter tuned for the injectors and pump that way my a/f isnt too off. But i guess a sct chip and tune will suffice. Do u mean extra money in hardware or tuning?

My tuned meter and injectors weren't even close to a drivable tune.

And other stuff, like heat wrap, ignition box, wideband, catch can, y pipe, setting up an air filter, mounting the intercooler, oil filter relocation.

I am not saying its more hassle than its worth, because there is nothing like the powerband of a turbo car. Just a heads up on some things to expect.

Love turbo cars. They run 11's one day and 13's the next. :D I agree, they're definitely not a maintenance/trouble free, "bolt on and go" power adder. I don't care what anyone says.

I think it's because they are usually done "budget", AKA cutting corners and using junk parts. You do see turbo cars done right that are very consistent and reliable, they are just far and fewer between.

Just like my buddy in college and his Turbo Regal. That thing was born with a turbo, and yet he was always having problems... I wonder if that had to do with the fact that it was turbo, or because he had it rigged with junkyard parts to run 20psi boost? Hahaha.

"And I started thinking how I could get more power out of my stang with staying away from nos"

I'm a little confused with the logic behind this?

Assuming the motor is built for it (which you would do for forced induction also) you can always go with more nitrous
Don't get me wrong, I love boosted cars just as much as the next guy but I hate to see people rule out nitrous because they don't fully understand it.

Good luck with your build either wat

Dont fully understand it? I think i gotta pretty good grasp on the concept. I just dont want bottle power. I want consistency when it comes to power. 3 of my friend run nitrous kits on their stangs. And there like crack hungry now. Go through bottles like candy. I dont need that. If anything ill do a nos kit after the turbo.

Wasnt meant to offend you. But nitrous is pretty reliable power IMO. Like I said, if you prefer turbo, by all means go for it. But in my eyes, wanting a bigger shot of nitrous and wanting more boost is the same concept

ahhh that brought back memories of the days of my N2O use... I remember saying 100 shot if fine, then two runs later Ill stop at the 175 shot..lol and then came a Wilson Pro-Flow with 600hp..lol N2O is addicting, unless you are filling your own bottles it can be very expensive over a year. For a street guy you can't beat boost, the intial cost is high but the N2O catches up quick.

As far as the right turbo kit goes, ur gonna have to read a lot and then form ur own opinion. Mmff did a b&g install and one of the mags have done a Hellion as well as a HP install in the past on a foxbody. I'd google those. Corral has a turbo forum and as always there is turbomustangs forum. But beware, the opinions are strong and all over the place as u have already noticed.
