It's all In what you like I guess. Most of us 94-98 guys have had the option to pick up a 99-04 but just don't want to. Not that I don't like the 99-04's, I stilll really like that style, It's just a little different look, a little more sculpted. I like the aggressiveness of the 94-98's, it's a little less refined, more brutish. I'm sure I will buy another project car in the next year or two and it's gonna be a Screaming Yellow GT or a Sonic Blue GT in the new edge style. I love them both.

I like them both equally for different reasons. I think the 94-98 look more sleek & sporty imo, & the 99-04's look more muscular to me because of the sculpted lines & fat fender flares. The 96-98 Cobras are one of my all time favorites along with of course the 03-04 Machs & 03-04 Cobras. If I had to pick one though, I have to rep the New Edge.

stock to stock or capabilities? Stock i guess it would be new edge by a little, w/ minor mods like rims head lights mach 1 chin and suspension (ie no body work) it's 94-98 IMO. With all out body mods, the 94-98 saleen comes close - but the capabilities w/ roush/saleen and 03/04 cobra facia its hard to say new edge doesnt win there

I agree. The only good front bumper upgrade for the 94-98's are the Cobra & Saleen.

I used to think new edge was teh winz, but the more I see nicely done up sn-95s (a.k.a. jelly moulds? ) the more I have to say they win. EPIK's old cobra and SRTHANDZ's gt are just two examples, a little suspension and some rims and you have some absolutely gorgeous, head turning cars. Not only that, but there seem to be so many new edge stangs, even cobras. How often do you see a 94-98 cobra? I've only seen one, and I'm pretty sure it was a clone. I'm not a huge huge fan of saleens either, but a sn-95 saleen is a work of art. jelly mould hands down.

SN95 FTW...Sorry...But the New edge is just Heavy BS. Plus the NEw Edge NEVER came with black interior...Thats dark charcoal looks like poopy

The soft lines of the SN95 just look more well designed and thought out.

Oh please its barely heavier. Besides the extra weight (if any) is worth the gain in HP.

I have to admit, I am a little surprised at the current results.

I am too. But I think the 94-98 owners are jumping this poll more aggressively.

lol few extra hundred lbs my ass. Now that's BS. The weight difference is marginal at best and still doesn't compensate for the lack of power.

No BS, It is a Few Hundred Pounds. I am not fooling. I did the Weighting of my car and my friends New Edge 03 stock to stock a few years back when my car was stock.....I am looking for the Scale Pics to show the difference. It was a few hundred pounds

your friend had something in his trunk ROFL!

I did the scale also with my moms 98 vert and my 01 vert.. my car was 63 pounds heavier.

and New Edge for the win... never did care for the rounded body style, although any mustang looks better than a catfish

I specifically bought a '93 GT in Sept. '93 to avoid the ugly ass '94 that was coming out. I was really happy with the new '99 body style. And once again I bought an '04 model before the ugly ass '05's came out.
