Sold the chrome 03's ..now buying some Weld

I just sold my chrome 03 Cobra wheels. I'm planning lots of track this summer and I want some lighter wheels. I choose some Weld prostars.

Few questions though. Where do I need extended lug ? Just front ? Just back ? Both ?

I'll be running some 15 x 4 in front and some 15 x 8 out back. For the back wheel, I have a few choices in backspacing but I have no clue what to choose. Choices are 3.5", 4.5" or 5.5" backspacing. I'll propably be running some 275/50/15 DR's and some 26 x 10 x 15 MT ETDrag.

Can anyone help me ?

i think the extended stud is only for the back wheels since they are the drive wheels and tend to snap easier. on the fronts you will need a spacer to clear the caliper bracket, I cant really help you on the backspacing part tho.

Hi,
Just put P325/50/R15, BFG Drag Radials on on the back of mine, with Prostar rims. Tires and rims were bought from my son and installed by him. The wheel wells had to be hammered in and the fender well lip had to be rolled. Also found out that the passenger side was about 1/2" lower in the rear, so they put a spacer under the spring to bring it level or close.. Put BFG P215/65/R15's on the front, with 1/2 inch spacers, longer studs to clear the (stock) brakes. I am going to drive them on the street for a short time then change back. Looking from the back the tires look humongus ?? Can't wait to go to the strip maybe next week??
