I've heard of people welding a fully-pumped up adjustable lifter, and using that to degree the cams. Any drawbacks or tips/tricks I should know about this method. Also, anybody got any links or ideas for a different method? And finally, if you've purchased SHM reground cams, do they send the solid lifter with the kit? Thanks in advance.

If you've purchase SHM regrinds, throw them in the trash.

You need more than just a solid lifter, it needs to be adjustable, so you can set it to zero lash. a fully pumped lifter may be too tall and give you bad readings. TuffEnuff sells them on forums for like, $10. Get two.

Anybody got any links or info on a good valve lifter to use? I can't find squat and haven't been able to find anything about Tuff Enuff either.

dlascoskie:

Try "NeverEnuff" (Matt) on MD. He has the adjustable lifter hook-up!

Any chance of somebody who is registered at Modular Depot pming Matt with my info, as I've registered on that site 3 times in the last 2 weeks and haven't been approved to post or send messages yet. It's getting kinda frustrating. If someone could please ask him to email me at dlascoskie@msn.com , I'd greatly appreciate it.
