Well im almost there again... Only a few things left to do. I used an adjustable PR to find the PR length, and ordered those, ill have them on wensday then ill be able to finish it up. Other then that, im waiting for my header collectors. When i ordered them from kooks i forgot to tell them its a EFI car, so i got them without 02 bungs. My friend is welding some in for me though.

The intake is so damn tall, taking off the VC's will be a breeze

Anyways, heres some pics so far.

The headers fit like a dream. I dont have the collectors on yet, but they line up perfectly. It took some thinking to figure out what order to put the primaries in, but once i figured out the way to do it, they slid right in. And i DID NOT have to jack the motor, remove starter, swing the steering rod outa the way, easiest longtube install ever. And i can get a socket onto the header bolts which is great. They look meaty though huh?

In this pic you can see two of the primaries go around the steering shaft...

And a few more pics..

Thats nice, its really going to be a street beast. What type of hood did you decide on going with? Did you ever get the drop motor mounts?

thanks guys.

Jake - yea ill be going soon, once it runs well..

vib - Yea next time i will Its funny cause the 69 block has the lowest deck height of all the 351w blocks. Its the damn intake manifold thats a monster. What the heck is going on with your 408 project??????

Rud - Im gonna talk to some people and figure out a cowl that will work. I really really dont want drop mounts, i dont think the headers will even work with drop mounts now that i see how tight to the K member they are. Hopefully a 4 or 5 inch cowl will work out.

It is looking good Jesse. I don't think having a 4 inch cowl should be a problem, my friend has one and the visibilty is fine.

I didn't think Kooks made headers for a V6. Either way it looks like it will be ready for a road trip to my house real soon. Can't wait to drive it and show the youngster how to shift.

Woooooooppppppppppp

Jesse, you got the cam and everything already degreed in?

I still think you should have went with that 9" cowl we found on that website.. You wouldn't have been able to see the right side of the road but thats just a minor detail right?

Looking good Jesse. DId you ever contact trick flow to see what they say about hood clearance? I still like the idea of cutting up a stock hood and having that beast of an itake stick out the top!

I bought $250K worth of investments just when my motor went south. Now I have to wait until I sell a bunch of stuff at the end of the year in order to move foward. I'm not happy with a dismantled car in the garage but I don't really have a choice right now.
