The mirror, obviously the lesser of the two problems, but to start the questions- what should I use to glue the mirror back on there?

Secondly the story of pic2
I guess it's just another reminder of how, people in general, and more specifically those in my age group (teenagers) suck. Apparently someone at my school hit my car and drove away no note or anything.. standard op.. I go check with the security office to see if their uber-camera system caught who did it, or even who parked next to me.. unfortunately they have their cameras set up on an 8-hour rotation, by the time I got to the office the next morning there was nothing there.. seems a bit inefficient

So I'm a little pissed about the bumper.. and this is where some more questions start.. My mom used to work for statefarm for some 15(?) years, so of course that is our provider.. Full coverage, hurricane, ufo, the whole deal.. Well, she says she doesn't want to pay the $500 deductable to get it fixed, it's no problem to her, and I don't have the money as I need a new fuel pump and tires (of course she buys the sister brand new tires for her cavy she doesnt drive).. she said even if she did pay the deductable I'd have to get the same bumper that was on there.. I've heard a few people on here say theyve gotten new aftermarket hoods / bumpers / what have you after wrecks because of insurance, and I was wondering how that works. Does my insurance just suck? Could I just pay the difference? I know I should probably talk to my agent but he's kinda a djicjjk .. so I'll put that off another day..

anyways I was looking at the abc Cobra r2000 front cover, or the abc style bumpers (gt or cobra), or even waiting for that 2003 cobra cover to come out, but was wondering how that would look without aftermarket sideskirts etc.. too low? post pics if you've got em

thanks for reading that, poor grammar no doubt, and it was really more a rant than anything.. bad day :notnice:

That bumper would be around $250-$300 to have repainted professionally. Is it cracked, or just scraped up? It looks like it may have a small tear, but that can be easily fixed.

The 2000 R bumper would definitely need lower side skirts to look right, but the other bumpers mentioned should look ok with your stock side skirts.

For the mirror, I got some epoxy glue stuff at wal-mart and it held for about 6 months then fell off again. I put more epoxy on this time and it's still attatched so far.

I paid $35 for my mirror off ebay. As for my bumper I was rearended twice. Both gave me 500-600 bucks and I still have the stock bumper one(i call it a discount for my supercharger). First time I got a little crack in my bumper thats barely noticeble and I got a few qoutes, called the insurance and I got a ~680 check for a new bumper, paint and tail pipes. Second time, I dont think it cracked the bumper at all, just a scratch in the paint that I buffed out and I said that the crack from last time is what happened. Got like 560 for htat one. I wasnt at fault for either. I figure, if oyur gonna mke me later for work, someone is gonna have to pay for it, and being late pays good.

How bad is the actual bumper itself man. In the pictures it just looks like a lot of paint rub and maybe a small rub into the bumper. But I can fix that no problem with some light wetsanding, a couple cleaners and my buffing wheel. Sucks I'm not home but I will be home over memorial day weekend if you want me to give a crack at it if the bumper isn't damaged. Or atleast cover it up some and get rid of all that nasty white paint.

It isn't too bad I cleaned it up a bunch (you can tell in that first headlights picture).. the only thing left is some spiderweb cracks and the puncture mark, but for now it's not worth fixing.. aint no thang :)
