Took my 89 LX out of the garage today for a quick bath. Heres some pics I took. I recently refinished the quarter windows, installed a 2001 interior, slapped on some Welds and M/T Street ET's, repainted the roof/door trim to match the quarters and removed some horrific old tint, and dumped the exhaust. Still more to go, but its been a great winter project so far.

you should put the tail pipes back on...not having them makes the back of the car look incomplete, imo. you could just do what i did and have them hung back on there but keep them disconnected if you really want it dumped.

Nice car. I agree, it would look better, and sound better with tails.

I was having rubbing issues with the 26x11.50 M/T's with the 5.5 back spacing. I even installed 1/4 Maximum Motorsports spacers. Tried to loosen the clamps to adjust the tail pipes, but they were too crimped to even turn. I think Im going to replace the mufflers anyway with some Dynomax's.
