Well another 14 or so hours on it today, and my painter is about ready to shoot himself

Car is primed, will do the ground FX and wing hood etc tomorrow, and then sand putty, and prime again untill he is satisfied with it, then starts the color

Taking the hood in on Tuesday to get the under side sand blasted to save having to sand it all by hand. I have new door handles to put on too, so hopefully I can get that done tomorrow. Anyone know how to pop out the key lock for the hatch? I have a new one of those since the tumbler on mine didn't work.

Some more for anyone who is following along. Now that we have the primer we can see the high and low spots and start getting everything 100%

Thanks for the nice comments guys, it has been a lot of work, and I often wonder if I would ever do it all again or not. (ok who am I kidding this is what makes owning a Mustang fun) I will be so happy once it is complete, and I can take it out for a drive for the first time in 2 years.

As for the running horse idea I think we may have found something that will work for the hood. The running Mustangs kicking up dust clouds that turn into the realistic flames. He is doing some sketches on paper. I will post and get opinions once he is done.

Just got the call my Candy came in today. So pick that up tomorrow and I have everything paint wise.

Ordered all new weather stripping and felts for the t-roof from 50Resto and when I called to place my order they told me they had it all in stock I sent my $800 to them for everything I wanted, and well here i am 6 goin on 7 weeks later and they are now telling me they have stuff on back order until June 1, and can't promise they will have it then either.

What is the point of calling to check stock if they are going to lie to you. Bastards wont get my business again.

Looks good, but I noticed that one of the fender aprons is still a little crooked. Do you plan on fixing that?

Yeah we have some high and low spots to still finish, and it is eaiser to see with the primer on it now. We have them marked out in marker with X's now, and will put some fill to make them all level.

Looks nice, but a couple of critical comments, and I dont want to come off like a jerk or anything,
its appearant that you have put a lot of work into the car. My question is if you are going to remove
all the door trim, locks, handles, door latch, strikers, all the stuff that you have painted over with primer?
You could get a much more complete paint job if you removed all that stuff so the paint is complete under
everything. Even behind the rear bumper and the gas filler cap. Im sure it will look great either way, but
youve gotten this far, dont cut corners, those will be the things that people will notice and pick at about
it when its done. Just a suggestion, again, not trying to come across the wrong way, but it wouldnt take
much more work to do all of it right.
Heres mine getting ready for primer/paint. Strip everything down.

The finished product
