Looks nice, but a couple of critical comments, and I dont want to come off like a jerk or anything,
its appearant that you have put a lot of work into the car. My question is if you are going to remove
all the door trim, locks, handles, door latch, strikers, all the stuff that you have painted over with primer?
You could get a much more complete paint job if you removed all that stuff so the paint is complete under
everything. Even behind the rear bumper and the gas filler cap. Im sure it will look great either way, but
youve gotten this far, dont cut corners, those will be the things that people will notice and pick at about
it when its done. Just a suggestion, again, not trying to come across the wrong way, but it wouldnt take
much more work to do all of it right.
Heres mine getting ready for primer/paint. Strip everything down.

The finished product

Damn dude not sure how I missed your post until now. I am not happy with the body work and it is all being re-done. Paying another guy that restores classic cars for a living to get the body 100% right. The door locks are being popped out and the hatch lock is as well. In the end the only thing left on the car will be the doors (Since they can be a bitch to line back up proper)

Ok so after some delays I am back with updates. Was not happy with the body work and had it all re-done. Am now happy with it and the silver base is now applied. Artwork has been started, and candy blue clear will be applied over the first layer of art hopefully tomorrow night. Then more artwork, and more clear etc.

I was actually going to ask the same questions...

I am also doing paint and should be in primer next week. I saw you left the parts on and was wondering if that common practice, of if you should take them all off. I took everything off and wish I didnt have to.

Either way it looks badass, and gives me hope mine will be done some day!

Still don't see why you have not taken off the rear bumper cover and part of the side skirt. When we do cars here for complete color changes EVERYTHING is taken off the car.

if u look close to the pics u may be able to see everything has been removd based and put back on bumper cover and front fenders are on to line up the art work he has started. only thing we did not get out was the door locks, and at this pont we are debating to pull before the dyed clear.

frig by the time I uploaded these he has tons more stuff done.

Oh well these will have to do for now.

omg good?? or omg bad??

Still lots left to do the cracked stone in the tribal needs more work, some more work with some realistic flame and smoke, and lots of other little things. Once the candy is put over top should be a nice suttle touch that will only be seen in certain light.

Time will tell.
