I just picked up an '85 LX from a family member who didn't want the car anymore. They said they got the LX with most of the GT options that year, the car is pretty much stock, really good condition about 18k miles on it.
The car is a automatic 5.0 with CFI, pretty much stock. I was wondering what could I do to boost the HP (w/o dropping in a new motor), because from reading around forums the car is only pumping out about 180hp.

I thought all 85's had carbs... I've never heard of one with CFI or TBI

Not if the had an aod in them. Both of my 85 verts where cfi. They are non roller (like the 84’s) and a pain to work on. The only way to get power is go Efi or carb.
