Some updated Pics...

Well, ive finally got just about everything done, expect bolting the turbo on, finish the intake, and put the bumper/pass fender on(waiting until i have the turbo pipes tightened down). And yes i need a cap/rotor. I got word that the turbo "should" be here by friday, so we'll see. If that is the case the car will be running friday night!

Anyways heres some pics of the progress so far...

I finally picked up a set of rear prostars(15x8) to match my skinnies. Just waiting for JR at dynamic to get to me about the tire size/gear size to run with the c4 im gonna get. I think im gonna go with the QTP's(hoosiers), my friend has alot of luck with them.

I thought you were switching to a fox setup? Looks like you did a good job getting rid of the wires and cleaning things up! Looks good! Got any pics of the cut-off switch for the battery. I'd like to do that, but want to keep it hidden for the most part.

Nice job Jesse!! That sucker should run like a raped ape!

Thanks guys. Jake- third pick from the bottom is the battery kill switch. It uses a rod that will go through the trunk. I just need to drill the hole for it. Im not planning on getting to the track for another 3 weeks or so, so its no rush. Yea i had sold my 70mm tbody and egr, then bought a nice polished accufab fox tbody, and all the other junk needed. But when i decided to ditch the S trim for the turbo, i didnt wanna have to modify the kit to make it work with the fox tbody. So Javi(buggapimp) traded tbodys and egr's with me, so thats his old one you see there.

Dave, no water injecttion here, where did you think u saw it?

I took a quick look saw the tank in the trunk and saw the big tank, Im thinking, "wow thats a huge tank for WI", then I see that its the gas tank  . Been studying way to much for my exams this week, Im thinking a fuel tank is for water injection. :fuss:

Can you remove the rod when your not going to the track? Got any pics with the trunk closed and everything setup as it would look on the street?

Jake

Yea you sure can.. Thats why i got this type of switch instead of the turn style. The rod just threads on/off. I havent drilled the hole in the trunk for it yet though. But, when i do, im gonna get a black gromet/plug to stick in the hole when im not at the track. So no water will get in or anything.

Putting the batt in the truck is expensive though. Heres a run down on what i spent.

Moroso battery box NHRA/IHRA approved - 100
Push/pull switch with external rod - 75
25 feet of 1 gauge wire at 1.40 a foot - 35
30 feet of 1/0 gauge wire at 1.97 a foot - 59.10
And all the battery conectors came to - 10

And yes, all the wire is welding cable. I ended up with a few extra feet of each wire, just depends how you run it. I was gonna ue 2 gauge wire, but they didnt have any so i went with the 1 gauge. That feeds the fusebox.

Damn that looks good. I truely am jealous!!! I started my battery in the trunk mess... and I've put it on hold for the minute. I can't see spending $80 for the flaming river disconnect. I might buy the $20 summitt switch style and make a rod for it. I plan on running mine through the tail light and using a rubber gromet to plug the hole when not racing as you said.

Thanks guys.

Nik - yea i wonder myself, if you find anything be sure to let me know. Something black or chrome would be nice!

Killer, yea you could do that, but you need to find those weird swivel fittings, rod and mounting bracket. Plus, if you make your own extrenal rod settup, is it still considered nhra legal?
