Something Cool Happened in the Parking Lot Today

I was leaving my office to go to a meeting. Got in the 95 an started it up...and the car alarm in the Subaru parked next to me starts going off!

I didn't even rev it up--didn't even have my foot on the gas when it started.

I know on Vintage Mustang Forum guys rated their exhaust by how many alarms they set off when revving in a parking garage, but I never heard of one going off in the open!!!



I hope he had a remote, so he had to run downstairs to see what was going on!

now you've got to start looking for that car and intentionally drive by it to set the alarm off

Heh, even my old V6 with dual exhaust would get the car alarms chirping a warning at me. A quick rev in neutral and they'd start singing. Of course, it helped that I was in an enclosed parking garage; the echoes amplified the exhaust.
