Spark plugs and carbon

It seems that the 3V has issues with the two piece plugs and carbon build up. What would be good to use in the combustion chamber to keep down the build up of carbon and would it work on the carbon that is already built up? If there is a product that would help melt away the already existing carbon it would seem that if you ran it for a while it would aid in plug removal at a later date.

For those that have changed out your plugs, what are you reinstalling?

I can't speak for anything to prevent the build up w/o taking the plugs out. However, quite a few people (including me) have taken the plugs out, clean & nickel anti-seized them and then reinstalled the stock plugs. The anti-seize will prevent the build up of carbon and allow you to remove the plugs easily next time.

Be Careful & Follow the TSB, & Don't use a lot of force to take them out.

best cure,pull them,throw'em away and get the new champion 7989.one piece and work fine.gap'em at .45 and away you go.

Something to burn off the existing carbon? Easy, Nitrous Oxide Seriously, it's not a bad idea. It probably wouldn't work but with the cost of pulling the heads to extract broken plugs anything is worth trying.

Champion 7989

I have the Champions, great plug. I have heard the best price on them is Rock Auto. Don't know if it's still on, but Champion was running a $2 a plug rebate. You might do a Google and find out.
