I dont know about a special driveshaft, you do have to change the yoke for the tko, but I used my stock driveshaft and just had it balanced and new u-joints put in it.

It just needs the yoke which is supposed to be supllied with the tranny. You could always get a new aluminum driveshaft from the 96 up musatngs and bolt it right in

no they arent. But if you are going to do all the work of replacing the u joints and getting it balanced, youd be better off buying the FMS aluminum driveshaft. If your on a budget i can understand. But if you have the money put the FMS in. Just my opinion though.

fms's are not that expensive, so I might as well look into one, thanx, someone just told me to get the 3550 instead cause with the tko you need a speical shaft, but since all you need is that part, then im all good

They just need a 26 spline clutch and the drivshaft yoke.(and of course the bell) Nothing to worry about, just by the TKO
