Hi everyone. I just bought a used 2012 5.0.with 69k miles. I love it, but I ran into an issue today.
It’s almost like the safety feature for reverse is broken.
If I push down on the shifter, it doesn’t let me go passed the lockout and up into reverse, but instead puts me into first gear. If I don’t have any pressure on the shifter and try to go to 1st it goes into reverse! And if I shift it very precisely I can also get it into first without any downward pressure on the shifter. It’s of course the MT82. Any help would be appreciated. I do have a 3 year warranty on my car, so if it’s broke no sweat! Also if I try to speed shift at red line, into second from first or third from second I get really bad synchro grind!:/ that’s just flat foot speed shifting though. And at almost red line. Thanks.
