I say if you have the stock intake on now then ya give it a try, but if you have an after maket intake already on you arent going to see any huge improvements in power for the money spent.

Overpriced verses the tried and true Cobra / Gt-40 style pieces.

If you want to be unique, that is different.

This is very true, my friend is in the process right now have to send his back, because the missdrilled holes in the intake of the TB we dont know yet, but from what i hear there are many times that thing dont work out, because of their crappy quality controll....

They also did a review in MMFF and a bbk ssi gave out (I think) 18 hp gain over a ported cobra with a smoother power curve. (with gt40 heads and rr's)

In the MMFF article, if I remember correctly the engine wasn't very matched so it did show some good gains but wasn't a very good comparison at all. It totally skewed the results. THe cobra/GT40/Explorer(pretty much the same) intakes are good intakes. A really good one for a fairly stock engine is an edelbrock IMO. It Has a 70mm TB opening unlike the cobra and porting shows good results later on when you get heads. Unless you have heads too I would stay away from TFS and Holley.

I would agree with sicarius, for a mostly stock engine, I'd get the cheapest of the two and either go with a cobra intake or if you can find a wrecked explorer motor and rob the intake off of that.
