HI All,

I'm trying to modify my Magnaflow X pipe to fit the MAC longtubes I just installed. I have the x pipe cut about 7" back from the "ball" on the longtubes. It's a strait shot from the x pipe to the longtubes. So, I just need a piece of pipe with a flare on one end and expanded on the other to slip over the cut-off piece of x pipe.

There are two strait pieces of pipe long enough in the parts that I cut off the X pipe. Every muffler shop I go to says that they can't expand stainless.

Is there truth in this? If so, how do they expand the pipe in stainless catbacks?

And how can I get these two strait pieces of pipe modified?

Thanks!!

Riley

they make band clamps for connecting two pieces of piping that are the same diameter, check out summit racing. ALSO at autozone they have adapters that you can slide in your straight pipe, to make it fit onto the x pipe. I beleive its a 2.5 ID to 2.5 OD adapter... check it out.

As far as the exhaust shops doing it, I have no idea.
