Hey all. This is my first post on this board and I got a few questions.
First up, I'm going to be buying an 89-92 5.0 5 speed Mustang within a month. I'm thinking about dropping a 351W in because I eventually want to get this thing to around 500 naturally aspirated wheel horses. I'm not sure it will be worthe it though because I'm not sure how far the 302 can go naturally aspirated. Anybody have any estimates?
Another thing I want to know is could the stock transmission stand up to this much power without dying or would it be best to buy a Tremec 3550? I plan to mostly use this car for the occasional drag race, road racing and autox aswell as sometimes driving it on the street hunting for rice. As I put more money in to it, it will become a more serious racer and less in to rice hunting.
