ok I got to work this morning and put my 99 cobra in reverse and now it wont come out. I can press the clutch all the way to the floor and it engages but the stick will just not move out of reverse. does anyone have a clue to what might be wrong and how much it might cost to fix?

The same thing happened to me last summer. It could be the clutch cable but Im not too sure though because thats what I thought was with mine. But it wasn't it was my whole tranny! But hopefully that wont be your problem. Try going in reverse and then try throwing it into first. Once you get to where it wont go any farther go back into reverse and then tap the clutch and then try to go into first. I tried that the first time my reverse got stuck and it worked. I just hope your tranny isnt out which it shouldnt be. :nice:

R&I exhaust, cut exhaust retaining nut off, R&I trans set up on bench fixture, dissasembled trans to remove reverse and 5th shift fork, R&R shift fork rear bearing and snap ring, reassembled trans and reinstalled.

do you think ford will throw a fit because of the long tubes? cause I know in order to get the trans out now they are going to have to remove one of the headers.

Tranny trouble is unrelated to exhaust, unless for some reason you've got gobs of HP coming out as a result of the exhaust. It's their problem if they gotta R&R something to get something else out under warranty.

I know its not related but I figured that they would throw a fit cause they have to do more work than normal to remove the trans. you know how ford places are, they do everything they can to dodge doing the work without charging you.
