Was just having a little fun and didn't tell Chat GPT4.0 who I am. I gave it the following prompt:

"Pick users of Stangnet.com for a notional "Annual AI awards" thread. Categories would include: Best Mustang, top contributor, most technical contributor, best looking, funniest, most innovative, and other categories if you have any suggestions. The idea here is to have a little fun and recognize some of the specific members of the community."

It returned:

For a notional "Annual AI Awards" thread on StangNet, here's a fun lineup of categories and some suggested nominees based on community participation and contributions:

1. Best Mustang

  • Mustang5L5: Their long-standing 1988 Mustang LXbuild is highly regarded in the community. The project is meticulously documented, with upgrades including a 5-speed conversion, engine rebuild, and SN95 brake swap(Mustang Forums at StangNet)(Mustang Forums at StangNet).

2. Top Contributor

  • Noobz347: As a forum administrator and long-time contributor, Noobz347 plays a key role in maintaining discussions, resolving issues, and keeping the forum running smoothly(Mustang Forums at StangNet).

3. Most Technical Contributor (FYI. I don't agree with being on this one, or with having any skill with electronics. I'd award Jrichker, Mike, TMOSS, and several others)

  • FastDriver: Known for his technical insights, particularly in areas like wiring, fan controllers, and performance modifications. FastDriver regularly dives deep into the intricacies of electrical setups(Mustang Forums at StangNet)(Mustang Forums at StangNet).
  • Mustang5L5: Alongside having a highly regarded build, Mustang5L5 also provides detailed technical guidance on Mustang restorations and modifications(Mustang Forums at StangNet).

4. Funniest User

  • Venom351R: Known for injecting humor into the forums, Venom351R has a way of lightening up technical discussions with witty remarks, often involving emojis and playful banter(Mustang Forums at StangNet)(Mustang Forums at StangNet).
  • Sociopath5.0: Another user who regularly brings humor, notably referencing pop culture in his jokes and comments, such as Silence of the Lambsreferences(Mustang Forums at StangNet).

5. Most Innovative Build

  • Bullitt347: Known for unique approaches to engine mods and drivetrain upgrades, Bullitt347 constantly pushes the boundaries with his performance-oriented ideas, often combining modern tech with classic Mustang features(Mustang Forums at StangNet).

6. Best Project Documentation

  • Mustang5L5: The extensive and clear documentation of his 1988 Mustang LX project is one of the forum's most followed and referenced build threads(Mustang Forums at StangNet).

7. Most Helpful User

  • Noobz347: As an admin, Noobz347 frequently helps new members and guides them through troubleshooting and technical discussions. Their presence ensures a welcoming environment for everyone(Mustang Forums at StangNet).

8. Lifetime Achievement Award (huh? Is 1105 an actual user or an artifact of something ChatGPT dug out of some posts?)

  • 1105 (Random Post Master): For long-time participation and contribution, 1105 has been recognized as one of the more memorable users for their long-standing involvement on StangNet(Mustang Forums at StangNet).
These awards would certainly make for a fun community thread, recognizing both the technical expertise and personalities that make StangNet a vibrant Mustang enthusiasts' forum!
I couldn't get it to tell me the sexiest member. Apparently AI doesn't want an EO complaint and told me things like that would be inappropriate.
I asked it for honorable mentions:
Here are a few **honorable mentions** for recent **StangNet** users who could be recognized in various fun categories:

1. **Best Newcomer**
- **Dbthealien**: Recently active in technical threads, contributing solutions to issues like 3rd brake light wiring problems【87†source】. This user demonstrates a willingness to jump in and offer practical advice despite being relatively new to the community.

2. **Most Detailed Project Contributor**
- **Slider**: Involved in threads like the Dyno discussion, Slider often provides thorough insights into the technical aspects of Mustang builds. Their detailed analysis and contributions to engine and performance discussions make them stand out as a methodical contributor【87†source】.

3. **Best Restoration Contributor**
- **zookeeper**: Known for their work on restoring classic Mustangs and their active participation in photo threads and restoration guides【87†source】. Zookeeper brings attention to the finer points of classic car care and renovation.

4. **Most Inquisitive User**
- **Nightmare4.6**: Regularly posts questions seeking technical advice, such as troubleshooting A/C problems or asking about cold start issues【87†source】. Nightmare4.6’s curiosity and engagement with the forum make them a constant learner, always eager to improve their Mustang’s performance.

5. **Most Helpful to Beginners**
- **Kid wita 5oh**: This user actively provides advice in threads aimed at Mustang owners who are newer to performance modifications. They often simplify complex topics, making their contributions particularly valuable to less experienced members【87†source】.

These users are contributing in their own unique ways, helping to keep the StangNet community diverse, engaged, and informative.
I asked it for Most Argumentative: thought I'd win that category, lol... It went to The Green GT

Anyways, just thought it could be fun. It was pretty easy to do. If you use any LLM AI models or have other award ideas to tease out of Chat GPT, feel free to contribute.

Out of curiosity, what AI did you use?

Call or text when all is calm and comfortable?

I'm in the midst of building a winter insulated feral cat hotel but I take frequent breaks. :coff:

I used ChatGPT4.0 from OpenAI. After seeing it on Brew2l's youtube channel, and solving some coding issues I was struggling with while working my grad school classes, I've found it more than worth the $20/month fee. As an example, I spent the Sunday before last trying to write a script that I've struggled with more than anything I've written since I was in grad school the first time. I spent all day on it before giving up. The next weekend I went back to it armed with ChatGPT, and had the script working less than an hour later. I'd've paid $20 the previous weekend for that time savings.

It's like a faster internet search than using Google. It puts 'paint on the wall' and helps think through ideas, very quickly. I'm surprised at the level of insight you can get to just by engaging it in conversation about an idea. I'd describe it as about 60% brilliant, and 40% stupid.

As an example, I gave it the 331 combo, except for the intake I chose. While the Box-R that I went with was one of the 5 intakes it recommended, so was the Boss 302 intake for the Coyote 5.0. Even prompted about whether the Boss would work with a 302 SBF, it said it would. Only when corrected did it acquiesce.

We have built tools using OpenAI and are currently using 4o-mini for the requests.

The SaaS we built: https://trueviewaudit.com/

This is cost effective for us but I am much more impressed with Claude and in the end thing they will be on top.
I have a neighbor named Claude, I've talked to him.
He drinks too much.

Looks like it has stronger benchmarks and is backed by google. Thanks for the recommendation. We're in an AI arms race, now. I think this ends badly, but it's interesting in the meantime.

I asked ChatGPT to take a pic of each of my cars and merge them into one. It's unusable because all of them look wrong, but still cool. Hope to get a good one of all three together at Foxtoberfest.

I wish Black Jack's paint was that nice. The other two look worse. Also, Grover, if parked there in real life, would be leaned into the ditch.

1 - Father Time looks like he's the chubby big brother!
2 - Oh no!... where are Father Time's hood scoops?
3 - Not sure if I like that mailbox-themed antenna on Grover.... a bullet casing topped antenna would look better, imo.
4 - And, obviously, ChatGPT filled in the ditch before he parked your car there.

See ya next week!

Mike, I'd put your car and attention to detail with anyone. Just had great convos with Jason Asper & Tom (the owner of War Admiral), and just like my projects, and I assume all fox projects, all of them always have things to work through. This is coming from guys whose cars are show winners, sponsored, and immaculate.

To your point though, there are cars out here with hundreds of thousands in to them, and cars immaculate enough you could eat off of. Engine bays with not bolt holes. Cars with the new chassis underpinning them. I mean, they're ridiculous. I never made it out to the old corral days, but when these were just cheap cars, I think it was a lot easier to stand out. Nevertheless, it's never been about that to me. I just wanted to entertain myself. I don't want show cars. I want drivers.
