Needing some extra dig , I added Steeda's Drag Springs for a 09-04 Mustang GT. I have a 99 cobra but it has an 00 GT solid axle. So this should all work out. Installed no issues except height. After adding the springs my stang is much higher she looks like a ROCK CLIMBER . Rear was 29 1/8 inches (ground to center of fender), and front was 28 inches.
Steeda was cool and sent me a set of regular lowering springs and now she sits. 27 1/4 Rear and 26 3/4 front. BTW, I was running Eibach 00 Cobra R front springs on front and H&H coil overs on rear. Too stiff.
The entire idea of the change was DRAG help, Steeda did say Foul on me since my solid Axle cobra was not a GT. Well, I think she is a GT in the rear now. BUT anyway, looked like cr@p so I had to change out anyway.
They never saw this happen, they were puzzled. Anyone tried these Drag Springs on a Solid Axle'd 99-04 Cobra???
