Steeda Pullies & Timing Adj. Install??

Hey guys. I am buying the Steeda UD Pullies and Timing Adjuster. How difficult is the install for these two things? Also, where should the timing adjuster be set? I have the following mods on my 2000 GT:

Bassani X w/ Cats
MAC Catback
70mm TB
CAI

Any advice?

ud's are fairely easy you just need a puller to get the stock pulley off. Use the steeda bolt to slide the steeda crank pulley in, take it out, and use the stock bolt again.***

as for timing adjuster stock setting being 10 you can run 93 and run safely at 14-15 degrees of advance timing. have fun.

Overall you're going to feel a smoother, faster revving car. Oh and around 10rwhp give or take.

And not to barge in...would I need a timing adjuster since I have a DiabloSport tuner?

nope......the tuner takes care of that for you. You can get a puller at just about any place that sells tools. I think autozone might let you borrow one for free......its better than spending money on a tool you'll use once. Once you see it, you'll understand how it works.

Its a tool that you will use for pullung the crank pully off. The auto parts store should have one you can rent. Also if you have access to an impact wrench it will help with pulling the alt pulley bolt off.

Ok the belt and tightness....how do you know it's tight enough? Trial and error or best guess on the pre-removal tension test....LOL

Thanks for all the replies. I just bought a Timing Adjuster on eBay, woohoo! haha.

Is it something fairly easy to install? Like could I possibly screw it up? If there is a video or guide on the install that anyone knows of I would appreciate any info!

don't worry about yoru serpentine belt. You're going to be using the same one.

like he said you use the same belt, I tried doing mine myself but I couldnt get off the alternator pulley with the cheap impact wrench I had, so I took it to ford and had a mechanic do it after his shift for 60 bucks, only took him about an hour and fifteen minutes for the pulleys and t/a. He moved the coolant reservior and removed the fan to give him more room. I hate taking my car to other people but I have heard horror stories about ppl trying to install these, just do a search and you will find the problems ppl have had, I'm not saying its hard to do just be careful. My cheap impact wrench was starting to strip the bolt and I didnt want to f*** up anything. you can get the puller at autozone as a loner. goodluck

pulleys can be tricky..

I removed the whole alternator assemble (4 bolts and 2 wires) and took it to autozone (no air tool) and rented a harmonic balancer from them for the crank pulley install. Be sure to put some rtv in the key. anyhow.. the bolt that steeda provided is longet than stocker. Just put the bolt in JUST ENOUGH so that the stock bolt can reach the hole way back in place.. I was sooo afraid to break the crank bolt.. Just becareful.. Take your time and the pulley will go in.
