I have a tri-ax in mine. I was going to purchase a MGW when the time came, but got the tri-ax at a discount for $130 brand new, so I went with that.
Was a little firm at first, but smoothened out after about a week. I love this shifter. I havent felt anything else out there as far as mustangs go, but I cant imagine the MGW or any other for that matter being that much better. The tri-ax has a little clink sound going into gear, but is very very slight, and now I dont even notice it anymore. The reach feels very good to me. I have a friend with a shifter in his truck, and the throws are just waaay too short. The tri-ax throws are much shorter than stock, but long enough to get a good gear feel.
The best thing? I can throw this thing as hard as I can into the general direction of 3rd, and it will go in every time. Hell, I can just 'flick' it into 3rd - letting go around the location of neutral - and it still goes right in.
