what part can i replace to eliminate the screeching squeaking noise from having modified rack geometry?, i have steeda springs on the car and have replaced the bushings with offset, sprayed the inside of the boots covering the tierods with grease and that didn't really help. Embarrassing noise when making a slow speed turn in a parking lot...
Bumpsteer? Balljoints? aluminum bushings? something else?

Did the car make the noise before you lowered it? It may be the balljoints, as you might be putting a lot more stress on them.

You're positive the noise is coming from the rack?

Ford TSB 05-14-3

Isn't there a TSB on this? I had this problem on my 2003 GT. The problem was worse at the extreams of the steering travel.

I fixed my car by using stiffer bushings and lubbing extreamly well.

This article supersedes TSB 04-24-8 to update the Action.

ISSUE
Some 2002-2004 Mustang vehicles may exhibit a squeak or creak type noise when turning.

ACTION

absolutely positive it's on the rack, i had the bushings replaced under the tsb and it came back after a few days, there are zerk fittings on the bottom of the ball joints and i give them a shot about every 6-8wks

Most likely this is the rack bushings. Which bushings do you have? Stock ones?

did you ever get this problem figured out?

My car is also experiencing the problem, new A-arms, ball joints, offset urethane rack bushings.
