Hey Steve, and everybody else out there I haven't met yet. Thank you again for walking me through the setup.. and sorry I'm a dumbass and overwrote your settings. But here's where I'm at. I have everything wired up, and MS is reading the AFR correctly which I triple checked tonight. She idles, but has a mild idle surge. Idle is set at 1300-1500, and surges up to 3000+. I'll post the log and the tune, but beware the big spikes are due to me hitting the throttle to get her back down into idle range. The log is just me in the driveway, trying to idle no gas.

Not sure what the issue is. It'll take an 11 Megabyte .msl file before I need to do anything.

It's a junk file, but it works.

I do see that it is mis-reporting the size. I'll bump it a bit and you guys can try again.

Ok biggest issue is the fact that your ECT sensor is laying on the valvecover...... you need to get that back in the intake ASAP!!!! most of your log file was useless because I could not tell if your car was fully warmed up or not. this affects the entire fuel calculation.

I made what changes I could unplug the IAC motor and try to set the idle again after the car has warmed up. Don't bother trying to run the car until the ECT is hooked up unless you want to melt the pistons down !!!!!!! I am very serious about this you will be about 40% off on fuel delivery cold.

here is the adjusted tune

Ect was pulled and replaced with an analog thread in (dash gage was not working). I can try to pull that out and put the old one in to see if it pulls anything, but the heater tube and sendor are gone.

The dash gauge sender and the ECT are two different sensors. The one for the temp guage is on the drivers side and is screwed directly into the intake the connection is 1 wire. The one you need, the ECT has 3 wires, it went in that hard heater tube you said you removed. The ECT sensor has to be back into place or your car will never run right.

your new tune... get that timing set even if you have to set the idle to 2000rpm with the idle stop.

Why are the wideband in however you would like I would suggest grounding it to the mega squirt ECU ground. Just take the White Band output to the O2 input on the board you can do this through the DB connector or solder it into the 02 wire on the stock harness it's really your choice. If the car is A5 speed car then I would suggest wiring the clutch into one of the extra relay inputs that would be POA or Flex there are others I will have to dig up the documentation for you for now just do the jumpers the way the documentation you have says we can go in once I find the other documentation and add the extra jumpers then we can grab wires that go out into the engine compartment and use them as outputs four relays this will ground the relay and then use the relay to turn on another device like electric fans or shift lights if you're planning on running supercharged in the future then everything that came in the kit is good for 20 pounds of boost good luck take your time

I downloaded the latest firmware to to my unit and also burned the base tune for the 88-93 mustang off the DIY site. Tuner studio reported multiple errors with the installed firmware and the base tune. I'm assuming this is normal? Unit is on a workbench not installed in the car, so there are no sensors connected. Here's a TS screen shot.

Here you go Steve. It's been a long weekend, but I got it sorted out. Started from scratch with the timing. Pulled the covers, got a piston indicator & stop, found TDC and you were right. I was way the hell out! I had pulled the dist. a month ago, and didn't think about it.. so thanks to YouTube and a quick drive to summit I got it set per your video. Replaced the cap/rotor while i was at it too. I also pulled the IAC, and set the idle to 850 ish, plugged it in and still idleing fairly well. But once warm shes very rich, and doesn't want to rev. The first one log was just idle, and died because I had my hand over the TB double checking for vac leaks. The second log is idle and trying to get some RPM but, started to almost get a little backfire. Thanks again, and happy Sunday!
