just like the title says, after I make a hard run winding through first and second usually at about 4-5k, my gas pedal feels sticky to initially press, but once I have pressed it, its smooth going up and down. Lemme know if that is confusing lol. THanks.
That sounds exactly like what happened on my '91. The idle screw on the TB was turned out too far and the butterfly would hang up in the throttle bore. Just turn it back in until the problem stops. The idle air control valve will regulate idle rpms so turning the screw in a little won't change the idle speed.
The throttleblade was my first thought too (though why it's situation dependant is weird).
Pop the hood and push down the throttle bell and see if it's sticky at first (you can feel the throttle blade unwedge itself if that's the issue). If so, either mess with the throttle stop screw or see if the butterfly looks like it's out of adjustment (two screws on the throttle shaft hold it on). Some guys do a little port work to clean this issue up, but it shouldnt be required if you didnt have the issue before.
make sure no vacuum lines or anything is in the way of the throttle bracket. One day I punched the gas on my car, RPM's kept climbing when my foot was off of the gas. Shut it off quick and popped the hood to find a small vacuum line wegded in between my throttle bracket.
