I put a UPR quadrant with their cable on my car about a year ago. The cable they gave me was CRAP and busted. So I took the advice and went and bought a stock cable. The problem I have now, is the cable comes up and goes into the firewall at an angle. This makes it hard to adjust the clutch, because if I tighten it up till there is no play in the pedal, it is NOT adjusted tight enough. It grinds and shifts like crap. So I have to tighten it more. But now the angle of the cable is putting a little pressure on the clutch (like it is pulling it in a little).
I guess what it is doing is the first 1/4 push of the pedal is just straightening and pulling the cable up tight, then the rest is actually pushing the clutch in.
Anyone else have this problem?
