I recently bought a '07 V6 pony that was wrecked on the right side. The strut was bent along with the spindle so I am replacing the knee action assembly with a complete set up off a GT junker. Will this work or does the GT have a heavier spring? Can I just use the spring from the original V6 strut? Can I replace the left side as well with a GT set up or will the front end be higher than stock because of the heavier spring rate?

i have all of my GT stock suspension too. 600 miles on it...struts, shocks, both sway bars, springs, hardware...everything. Its all less than 3 months old (came off my 2010...same as 05-09). I am in GA. Id like to get rid of this ASAP....pm me.

What are you looking to get for them? Front end parts are cheap at the junk yard for some reason. Where are you located?

they're cheap because most everyone pulls the stock stuff out and replaces it. There is a couple hundred pound difference in weight between the V6 and V8 motor, so the front springs will be a little heavier duty. But the parts will all go on and work. The rears are the same, a little heavier for the GT. But not as though it will make a big difference. Lots of guys put the complete GT suspension package on their base V6's. You have the pony pkg which comes with the rear sway bar anyway. I'd bet someone will give you their old GT suspension for free.

Probably only like $20 more than it costs to ship it, just to make it worth driving to the post office. I live in Old Lyme, CT. They are probably cheap in junkyards because so many people take them off to upgrade. If you are close you can just come get the parts.
