stock intake tube mounting problemm

my problem is that one of the 2 bolts that hold the airbox to the fender on my car came loose from the fender. Hard to explain but hopefully someone will know the bolts I am talking about. They seem like they are glued to the fender somehow to hold the box that the filter cover that clamps to it....anyone ever run into this problem? what did you do and how did you fix it...any ideas are welcome

I thnk they got nuts on the back side of them.

no mine looks like it was maby glued there or maby they were spot welded from factory...I don't know I will try and weld it on...I haven't realy looked into it but it's one of the little things that bug me about the car. I will maby take a pic and show how it came apart

Those aren't bolts. Those are rubber isolator stud mounts (or whatever the heck they're called.) One end threads into the captured nut in the fender apron. The other end protrudes out so you can mount the air box onto and then fasten down with nuts.

LRS calls them rubber air box mounts p/n LRS-9686K

yep that's them...I think what hapened was the base of the metal pulled away from the rubber....I might see what I can do to fix it. If nothinh I guess I could use 2 bolts and make something work.

yep I had a look tonight and the bubber broke free from the steel...anyone ever fixed theese using something else
