I have an 03 with stock shifter. I would like to replace the Moma round shifter handle with the standard Hurst pistol grip(had it on many cars-its my good luck charm). how does stock one come off and will hurst handle fit?
There is a doughnut that says "Momo" at the bottom of the knob between the top of the boot and the knob. Turn it clockwise to unscrew all the way to expose the taps. Then you can exchange the knob. I'm sure that's what you meant. If you want to replace the entire handle and knob just pull up on the entire shifter bezel, careful not to break the tabs that have metal clips on them and the nuts are 10mm i think. Cant rememebr. while you are there replace that lousy rubber shifter bushing with a couple of aluminum ones.
Or better yeat replace the entire shifter. That Hurst shifter is dogsh#*.
