Hey guys, I have a set of frpp valve covers but i want to clean my stockers up and use them on my gt40p heads. Only problem is they dont clear the scorion 1.6rr's. Would it be safe to remove the baffles? I searched and came up in classic forum and they said their very important, and if you take them out oil will get everywhere. I read some 5.0 thread that said theyve remove them and it was perfect. So will it be safe to remove them? or easier to just use my newer valve covers. Thanks.

My mom says thanks for the pearl necklace.
Removed mine without issue..but the car see's very little milage so it's hard to tell. You could run a clear fuel filter in line to the TB....looks good, cheap and will knock out oil.

Try to modify the baffles before you just remove them. I had to take a screw out of my baffle to get enough clearance for one of cyl#3's 1.7 RRs.

I second what dman said. if you're going to remove those baffles it can lead to an oil build up in the tb and spacer if you still have the line going from the oil fill neck to the throttle body. i installed an inline fuel filter - mt gasket brand - between the oil filler neck and the tb.

im a dumbass this is mob i forgot to log out, im on my friends co mp.
so all i have to do is put something like this between that hose and i wont have any problems?
I tried to modify them, i grinded down that bump but I had to hammer it down alittle because the metal is thin, so its all messed up now. Im still kinda confused as hoe the fuel filter will help.

this is my solution
ten bucks for the filter at advance, plus i had the hose and clamps pying around already. works like a charm, and you can also look at the filter for a visual reference of how much oil you will be seeing with or without the baffle.
