straight duels or h pipe?

did some research and cant find the answer that im looking for. i currently have two flowmaster 40's split off the factory y pipe, what is better for sound i want loud and obnoxious dont care if it sound ricey or euro just want loud with the cats on.will two straight pipes coming off the cats to the mufflers or an h-pipe be better? getting my y-pipes cut off on thursday and exhaust shop wants to know if i want straight or an h-pipe. dont want to change mufflers either and x is out too expensive. any help would be great.
 
I had an H-pipe built for mine with turbo tubes. It doesn't sound ricey, but more throaty. I like the sound alot, for my daily it's great. You'd definitely loose the back pressure needed if you went straight duals. The h-pipe I've got was super easy to make. I can tell you how they did it if you want. The turbo tubes are cheap and they're great if you have clearance issues. They're still street legal too, just not as loud as I think you want. Dump-offs are in your ballpark I think. Really loud..., not my cup o' tea, but if that's what you like,....
