Straight Pipes or Prochamber --gains?

Before i start i'd just like to say i did a search but came up with nothing of use.

Alright my buddy has a 98 GT bone stock except for straight pipes and it sounds a million times better than i expected. In fact if my car will sound the same I think im going to do it. Now heres where you guys come in. Supposing my car has the factory H will straight pipes on a 98 and a 2000 sound the same? I dont know what difference the heads make as far as sound goes.

I ordered an O/R prochamber but it hasn't been shipped yet so i can cancel the order at any time. Obviously straight pipes and an O/R H or X is going to sound like **** so if i get the prochamber im not going to straight pipe it.

The straight pipes would likely be temporary anyways but its an option, theres no emission testing here and cops are generally very supportive towards v8s with exhaust.

What would the gain be with straight pipes, if at all, i've read somewhere that straight pipes will actually reduce power. Anyways, if you had the pick, which would you go for. Straight pipes(IE muffler delete) or a Prochamber, I haven't heard to many exhaust clips with the prochamber (used mustangexhaust.com). Anyone have any sound files, or opinions on the prochamber??? Im trying to make a bargain between hp and sound. What catback/mufflers would you recommend with a prochamber, im trying for a unique v8 growl. I love the tone of the stock exhaust, it just needs to be a lot louder, so i can actually hear the exhaust and not the noise of the motor winding up.

Yeah and its really quiet at idle too, not annoying at cruising speeds either which is very important to me (on the highway for probably 80% of my driving).

I dont know though, when you tell someone you have straight pipes you might not get the same reaction as "Yea, I got a prochamber and a Borla catback."
Deep is key, i think i might go the way of prochamber and catback just because I hate the idea of having 4 restrictive cats.

So do you think i'd be happy with the sound of a prochamber and a stock catback??? It sucks not having even an idea of what it will sound like. I've heard o/r h-pipes and stock mufflers and i think its a beautiful exhaust note, just im not sure on the tone the prochamber will produce. It'd be at least a little while before i got the full catback.
