What cant you figure out? It is an academic install. I would suggest sleep if it's a struggle right now - you dont want to do suspension installs if you are tired.

Sorry to sound like a parent.

Good luck.

I want to go to bradenton to F'IN race, all I need is a description of how it goes together, and or pictures...........
I fking know it aint complicated, but your azz aint been up for 3 days straight trying to make this race either. IF you cant help, Please dont comment!

Why don't you explain the problem your having? Simply telling us that you can not install a pair of struts makes you sound incompetent.

The bottom of the strut bolts up to the spindle and the top goes through the plate on your strut tower with a nut holding it in place.

What's the problem???

i intend too!
here is the problem with pictures

photo one shows where the strut isnt coming up all the way thru the hole in the inner fender! That is the main problem!!!

in photo number 2 you can see the two bushings number 2 on bottem which use to be connected to the old dust boot, and number 1 is the top bushing that puts the strut thru the center of the hole.

photo number 3 shows the 5 pieces as they go on the strut thru the fender, one going on first then two so on and so forth, as well as where the fender line is. Problem is it isnt long enough to go thru the inner fender to where your top pieces go on and to where you can get a nut on it!!!

any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks

I'm sorry i can not help you with the problem, have you compared the new struts to your old ones? Specifically the smaller diameter part of the strut rod, at the top where the bushings go (edit, nevermind i see your trying to back to stock struts)? You may want to double check the arrangement of bushings as well.

My intelligent comments wouldn't have been necessary if your origional two posts would have explained your problem, rather than simply telling us "i can not install my struts and go racing tomorrow &%^$#."

Ben I do not see anything wrong at my first glance...

Are the wheels hanging? Jack the A-Arm up and the strut should come further through the hole, bolt it down, grab some coffee and hit the road!

Hope it's that simple.

I think he's saying that when he stacks all the bushings on top in the order that they came off that the strut extension is not long enough to put the bolt onto. Almost like the strut extension is too short or is not extended all the way.

I can't really tell from those pictures but the last pisture looks like the strut is not fully extended while the 2nd picture makes it look like the hole for the strut extension is not large enough to allow it to go all the way through.

The pics are of a stock shock... I talked to Ben about an hour ago and he said they are fully extended, so I am a little out of ideas except what I posted, really no reason it shouldn't go on.

I've never installed QA1's with stock CC plates. The more I think aboutit and I remember correct the QA1's are slight shorterthen a stock strut or a Strange Strut, no a big deal with a aftermarket CC plate.

Doesn't the strut extension require 1/2 turn or something to make it go to full extension??? Been a while since I've done mine...

getting all stressed out doesn't help...it only get wise-cracks...relax, get an adult beverage, kick the neighbors dog a couple of times...give it another go..

it's what I do...until I destoyed my meniscus...

I think I had the problem I had when I put my eibach drag springs in the front. The springs are so tall and hard that I had to have my dad sit on the fender to have the strut come up thru the whole. Try that. And BTW, if u dont want smart comments work on your attitude when asking for help.
