A friend of mine owns a 99 Gt with some basic mods (Bassani Cat-less X, Flowmaster Mufflers, and a CAI)... He just bought and installed a 75mm Mac TB. Now whenever he goes to hit the gas there is a lot of resistance, then after you push hard enough it just gives and acts normal until you let the pedal out all the way. The other odd thing is that it only does this with the car running. Any ideas on what could be causing this???

quality issue with the mac TB, heard lots of people complaining about throttle problems after a mac tb install, something about the butterfly getting hung up inside the tb, try calling mac and see if they will replace/know how to fix the tb, or do a search on here and see if another thread has a fix in it, hope yall get it worked out

Dont think its just MAC, my gas pedal started doing this after the Accufab install. When you let the pedal all the way out and then try to press it in, its VERY hesitant at first, it makes the car jerk some actually once it gives. After the initial hesitation, the pedal works great. Mine only does it when I take my foot completely off the gas. Its nothing major imo, but just an annoyance. Someday Ill play with it and see what I can figure out.

the blades are closing too far , the macs may need to be sanded down on the inside with some fine sand paper to smooth them up ... but either way if the blade is closing too far it will hang on any of them , adjust the set screw a tiny tiny bit till it clears up .....
