Stuck injector

The last time I took tyhe car out last november I hit a large water hole. I thought maybe I sucked some water in the fenderwell intake and maybe bent a rod or a valve as the number 5 cylinder is dead. A buddy came over today and we checked for spark and there is lots of spark. We decided to do a compression test and wow. It went way up over 250 on the #5 went to #6 andas I whirled it over the fuel literally was squirting right out the plug hole of # 5. Checked # 6,7,8 and they were 150, 149, and 150.

So my question is is my injector stuck wide open or is it another problem and what would cause this? they are 24 lb injectors. I have a set of thirtys and a new mass air meter but I would still like to know if it is the injector itself or a computer or wiring problem. It seems funny that it happened rightafter I hit the waterhole.

thanks in advance

if you have a node light plug it in and see if it lights up with the koeo. if you don't have a node light measure voltage across inj connector with koeo. if voltage is present you have a short to ground somewhere

to add, i believe that the puter sends ground to excite the injectors (they have constant 12 volts with the key on). so look for constant ground. (i know this is true on foxes, but dont know for certain on SN's).

have you run a cylinder balance test?

good luck.
