I have a 93 Cobra, I posted some specs here awhile ago but I have a question for you guys. When I bought the car it had 42 pound inj. with a matching C&L meter. I pretty much drive like an old man, not much horseplay. Since we had nice weather Tuesday and today I had the car out and I noticed when I nail it at low RPM's it stumbles, and almost sounds like a backfire inside the motor. Am I to assume it's because the large injectors on a stock 306? The car at one point had a novi 2000 on it, but I bought it with no blower. All the brackets for the blower are there, everything, just no head unit. I was going to buy another blower, HOWEVER I was told the GT40 heads are no good for boost, and when I bought the car the PO told me he kept going through head gaskets. If i need heads that will take boost I'll have to wait for more $$ to buy a blower, will the 42's hurt the motor? What I considered doing was a set of thumper heads and one of the new gear driven Powerdyne blowers. What I find odd is the car will sit and idle fine, smells a little rich, but it stumbles at low RPM pulls, and suggestions would be cool

:nice:

Is this the one for sale in the classifieds with the junk title

those heads will hold boost unless they are warped then it will blow gaskets

use cometic mls head gaskets

check timing also

to make the most of your fuel setup I would buy the blower and run it until the heads warp(which they shouldnt). for a stock head the the gt40's are better than e7's by leaps and bounds. I wouldnt waste time on the thumper heads, I would go straight to a set of AFR's.
